In my cranky old age, I actually prefer recording alone now, on ‘The Simpsons,’ for example, because I find that the director can just focus on what I’m doing and I can do a lot of variations. A lot of times, when I record with a group, I’ll stay after class for another hour or two  (The Simpsons Quotes) I tend to relate more to people on television who are just themselves, for good or for bad, than I do to someone who I believe is putting on some sort of persona. The anchorman on ‘The Simpsons’ is a reasonable facsimile of some anchors who have that problem  (The Simpsons Quotes) The early seasons of ‘The Simpsons’ had a great deal of heart. That’s what I’m trying to pull from, the kind of stuff that goes straight to kids’ hearts. When they’re watching, they don’t necessarily know why they love something  (The Simpsons Quotes) I feed my kids organic food and milk, but I’ve also been known to buy the odd Lunchable. We hadn’t had prime time animations since ‘The Flintstones.’  (The Simpsons Quotes) Nobody and nothing beats the Simpsons. Even after all this time, it’s still the best satire since Monty Python  (The Simpsons Quotes) We’re going to keep trying to strengthen the American family. To make them more like The Waltons and less like The Simpsons  (The Simpsons Quotes) The success of The Simpsons really opened doors. It showed that if you were working in animation you didn’t necessarily have to be working in kids’ television  (The Simpsons Quotes) When The Simpsons came around, there really was nothing else like it on TV. It’s hard to imagine, but when Fox first took the plunge with it, it was considered controversial to put animation on prime time  (The Simpsons Quotes) I draw a weekly comic strip called Life in Hell, which is syndicated in about 250 newspapers. That’s what I did before The Simpsons, and what I plan to do for the rest of my life  (The Simpsons Quotes) I’m kind of a dork. I don’t have much game. I’m not particularly comfortable in bars or clubs. I much prefer being home playing Scrabble, having dinner with a couple friends, going to see a movie, or losing a whole weekend to Season 14 of Law and Order or The Simpsons  (The Simpsons Quotes) Our solution on ‘The Simpsons’ is to do jokes that people who have an education, or some frame of reference, can get. And for the ones who don’t, it doesn’t matter, because we have Homer banging his head and saying, ‘D’oh!’  (The Simpsons Quotes) I think ‘Family Guy’ and ‘American Dad’ have definitely staked out their own style and territory, and now the accusations are coming that ‘The Simpsons’ is taking jokes from ‘Family Guy.’ And I can tell you, that ain’t the case  (The Simpsons Quotes) I like ‘The Simpsons’ quite a lot. I love the irreverent character of the whole show. It’s great  (The Simpsons Quotes) Man, you go through life, you try to be nice to people.. you struggle to resist the urge to punch them in the face. And for what?  (The Simpsons Quotes) This is the worst day of my life. The worst day of your life so far  (The Simpsons Quotes) I think Smithers picked me because of my motivational skills. Everyone says they have to work a lot harder when I'm around  (The Simpsons Quotes) He only salutes the flag with one finger  (The Simpsons Quotes) Marge, you're as pretty as Princess Leia and as smart as Yoda  (The Simpsons Quotes) The Simpsons take up so little time that I’m able to do other things as well  (The Simpsons Quotes) Sometimes people get mad at The Simpsons' subversive story telling, but there's another message in there, which is a celebration of making wild, funny stories  (The Simpsons Quotes) Is there a sharper commentary on American culture and the world than The Simpsons?  (The Simpsons Quotes) We've got a bunch of new writers now who tell me they grew up watching The Simpsons. It's bizarre, and they're writing some very funny stuff  (The Simpsons Quotes) The Simpsons can go anywhere in the world and not worry about any budgetary issues.
