Text Quotes
I was 11 when a teacher suggested to my parents that they should send me to drama classes to curb my disruptive ways in the classroom. The next Saturday I was acting, and thereafter it became a ritual of my youth to see a show at the Belvoir on Sundays and, if I was lucky, another at the Opera House on Monday after school.  (Lucky Quotes) I went to the Guilford School of Music and Drama, which was affiliated with the Royal Shakespeare Company. I was lucky enough to be taught by a beautiful, wonderful teacher called Patsy Rodenberg, who works a lot with the Royal Shakespeare Company as a voice coach and technician.  (Lucky Quotes) My mother was a dramatic and egocentric person, and she died before my father, who died of Alzheimer’s disease. But I’d often thought, God, we were so lucky that was the order in which they died because she would have felt put upon.  (Lucky Quotes) You know, if you’re lucky enough to have two smash hit shows, the traffic of the world goes through your dressing room.  (Lucky Quotes) I’m a lucky boy! I could be holding a gun in Afghanistan. There’s boys out there doing what they’ve got to do, and there’s people digging holes, and there’s people driving buses. And there’s nothing wrong with that.  (Lucky Quotes) If you’re an alcoholic or a drug addict or something, we flirt with death. We pull ourselves to the brink of destruction and if we’re lucky we pull ourselves back. We all have that in us.  (Lucky Quotes) A lot of people say I’ve missed out on a lot because I started acting at such a young age. What’s so obvious to me is that I actually was really lucky. I gained a lot and I got a head start in what I wanted to do in life. A lot of people in their late 20s, early 30s are just beginning to figure out where they want to go.  (Lucky Quotes) I was lucky in my early years to play for a Karnataka team that was trying to forge itself into a strong side, and they were years of fun and learning. In the Indian team, I was fortunate to be part of a wonderful era when India played some of its finest cricket at home and abroad.  (Lucky Quotes) I’m lucky to live in New York, a city that offers so many options for lunch. I can pick up dumplings from a Midtown food truck, grab empanadas by the dozen in Spanish Harlem or get a fantastic bowl of ramen in the East Village.  (Lucky Quotes) Everyone now knows how to find the meaning of life within himself. But mankind wasn’t always so lucky. Less than a century ago, men and women did not have easy access to the puzzle boxes within them.  (Lucky Quotes) I’ve been lucky enough to travel widely. When you’re based in Europe, it’s very easy to go to Madrid or Budapest for the weekend. I also lived in Italy for ten years and now live in Ireland.  (Lucky Quotes) When your money is taken by a thief, you get nothing in return. When your money is taken through taxes to support needless bureaucrats, precisely the same situation exists. We are lucky, indeed, if the needless bureaucrats are mere easy-going loafers. They are more likely today to be energetic reformers busily discouraging and disrupting production.  (Lucky Quotes) There has never been a shrimp that I’ve eaten that I haven’t been like, ‘I am so lucky that I get to eat this.’ I would eat a shrimp enchilada, shrimp burrito, shrimp cocktail, fried shrimp, shrimp po boy, shrimp gumbo.  (Lucky Quotes) My father passed away after three years of debilitating disease, which transformed a very strong and bright man into a real wreck. And that is hard. You have to get out of that stronger, if you can, which I was lucky to be able to. I was the eldest of the family, and I had to support my mother and help my brothers.  (Lucky Quotes) Let’s dare to release our immature fantasies of a magically faultless U.S. system and a magically protected election process. We have been lucky as a nation, but sometimes continued luck depends on action.  (Lucky Quotes) I’ve dodged so many bullets. Not just because of unsafe sex, but because of the amount of drugs I did, the amount of alcohol, the amount of work I was doing. I started the Elton John AIDS Foundation because I got so lucky.  (Lucky Quotes) I’ve met a lot of famous people. I’m lucky enough to have been able to be Elvira. I would probably have to say the most famous is probably Elvis Presley, though. I spent an evening, a night, and part of the next day with him.  (Lucky Quotes) I am one of those guys who could do the most emotional scene and crack a joke instantly. I’m lucky. I’m just like an idiot savant. I have one enormously enjoyable, pleasurable - for me - talent, which is being able to act.  (Lucky Quotes) I take parenting incredibly seriously. I want to be there for my kids and help them navigate the world, and develop skills, emotional intelligence, to enjoy life, and I’m lucky to be able to do that and have two healthy, normal boys.  (Lucky Quotes) I know I’m really lucky to do what I do, but sometimes with the hours and the travelling, I don’t get to see my family and friends as much as I’d like. It can be lonely on the road. Sometimes I come offstage after a massive adrenaline rush, and then when I go to an empty hotel room on my own, it can be an anti-climax.  (Lucky Quotes) When I was a kid, I loved to draw, and I was lucky because I had parents and teachers and grown-ups around who recognised and encouraged that.  (Lucky Quotes) I was lucky because my mum was a teacher and showed me how to read and write. But most importantly, she encouraged me to use my imagination.  (Lucky Quotes) Everyone thinks when they start writing that they can’t do it. I was lucky. My sister Delia was the most important person in terms of encouraging me.  (Lucky Quotes) A lot of author events are basically hour-long classes in entropy perched on bad seating under bright, hard lights, with - if you’re lucky - bad Chardonnay and cheese on a stick waiting for you at the end of the ride.  (Lucky Quotes) I’ve been lucky. I’ve made films that I really like. It’s been a combination of what comes to me and what I choose. I’ve gone after lots of things that I didn’t get, pet projects that everybody ends up chasing after. Really, you’re lucky if you get anything.  (Lucky Quotes) I feel super lucky to be living in New York. I love the city, I love the energy. I always loved it. I had pictures of New York in my bedroom when I was young.  (Lucky Quotes) I’m one of those people who does a lot of things. I’m lucky. I get up and I have a lot of energy. I have a great work ethic.  (Lucky Quotes) What it takes is to actually write: not to think about it, not to imagine it, not to talk about it, but to actually want to sit down and write. I’m lucky I learned that habit a really long time ago. I credit my mother with that. She was an English teacher, but she was a writer.  (Lucky Quotes) I love my job, and I’m a lucky girl. I thoroughly enjoy going to work.  (Lucky Quotes) A lot of people don’t enjoy their job, they may even hate it, but I am lucky enough to be able to make a living through my passion.  (Lucky Quotes)
