It’s hard to come across a true country fan in L.A., but it’s true that the fans are so loyal, once you’re in their circle, you’re in for your entire career. It just really speaks to me. Country music has so much soul and is so heartfelt. I think it’s a perfect fit for me.  (La Quotes) You can spend an entire day walking around in New York, whereas in L.A., it always ends at some point because you have to find a way to get home.  (La Quotes) Everything in L.A. is - it’s just an easy place to live in. The houses are nice, the backyards are nice, you got the ocean right there and the mountains behind you; there’s an idealised easiness to the way you live and the whole environment.  (La Quotes) I like change. I’ve never really had much consistency in my life, you know, from everyday work to my living situation to whether or not I’m going to be in L.A. The one constant thing in my life is my friends and family, which is all I need.  (La Quotes) Entourage’ is almost required watching in L.A., and everyone seems to have story suggestions for the show itself, which is amazing because it makes you realize the show’s really struck a chord and found its audience.  (La Quotes) I was afraid of Korean food when I moved to L.A., let alone sushi. I remember thinking either sink or swim. Living here in Studio City, Ventura Blvd. is the Mecca of sushi restaurants. What you thought was so exotic is just run of the mill.  (La Quotes) Ayo, shout out to Mobb Deep, the Extra P Busta Rhymes, De La, the J Beez, so don’t sleep  (La Quotes) None of us can claim to be fair and square in love - and I’m definitely not a hypocrite! Humans are built to evolve with time. It depends on the nature of the relationship you share with a person. It is there today, tomorrow it may be gone; c’est la vie.  (La Quotes) I went to L.A., and I was on two different studio movies at Fox and Sony, but they were never made in the end. When the second one wasn’t happening, I ended up doing an episode of ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ for the BBC, and went on a roots trip from England to Kenya, India, and pre-partition India in Pakistan, where my family originally came from.  (La Quotes) I wouldn’t rule out L.A. life, but I love England. I have a lovely house and nice garden, I walk my kids to school - family is most important to me.  (La Quotes) Addams Family blew my mind because it was the first time I was in L.A. and Hollywood, and I grew up a huge fan of movies.  (La Quotes) In L.A., I was meeting people who were all actors. My mind started to open up to what acting was. I didn’t realize that Brad Pitt was a real person. I didn’t think he was a robot or a machine, but I thought you were just born into acting - that it’s a family tree, kind of like NASCAR. No one can just say, ‘Hey, I’m going to be a NASCAR driver.’  (La Quotes) When I was 12 years old, I went to Natchitoches, La.; it was summer vacation with my family. We visited a plantation, Melrose. And I met an Afro-American woman who was a painter. I already had some idea of what I wanted to do in life, and one of the things that interested me was painting.  (La Quotes) Everyone’s parents were famous actors at my school, pretty much! I think I went to school with Paris Hilton when I was three. That’s what L.A. is, though - it’s an industry town. You go to school with kids and you think, ‘Well that’s normal, they make movies.  (La Quotes) My father ran a famous L.A. nightclub complete with roller-rink - Flippers - in the early Eighties which was the West Coast’s answer to Studio 54.  (La Quotes) I want to go to Lapland and see Father Christmas, and now I’ve got a child, so I’ve got an excuse. Also, I’d like to go to South America especially as I’m now living in that part of the world, in L.A. now. And I must get down to Mexico.  (La Quotes) I have several [favorite clothes designers], but I like to wear Akris, Oscar De La Renta and Giorgio Armani.  (La Quotes) Mel’s Diner in L.A. - they are my favorite hamburgers. I could eat there every day. They are ridiculous.  (La Quotes) La Vie en Rose’ is just about my favorite movie. Marion Cotillard, I’m so desperately obsessed with her work.  (La Quotes) My favorite place in L.A. is Manhattan Beach. It’s an intimate, friendly little beachside city within a city-smaller than most of its neighbors, so it reminds me of a British seaside resort. If my three teenage sons are in town, we’ll play some cricket on the flat, hard sand where the water breaks, just to really confuse the locals!  (La Quotes) If someone’s got a fear of heights, they’d probably say, well, hanging off a helicopter at 3,000 feet above downtown L.A. would be the scariest. For me, that’s a day’s work, something I was very happy to do.  (La Quotes) Not only is natural burial by far the most ecologically sound way to perish, it doubles down on the fear of fragmentation and loss of control. Making the choice to be naturally buried says, ‘Not only am I aware that I’m a helpless, fragmented mass of organic matter, I celebrate it. Vive la decay!’  (La Quotes) But I was feeling quite down at the time. I was living in L.A., which was kind of weird for me.  (La Quotes) I was stupid when I started: the epitome of bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. It was like, ‘I get to live in L.A. and drive around in limos? Really?’ I didn’t realize I was owned. The more money gets pumped into you, the more you become a marionette. It made me a true redneck in attitude: I never wanted to wake up ever again feeling owned.  (La Quotes) One of my great loves is golf. When I am in L.A., I like to play with a few close friends: no phones, no distractions, the great outdoors and the chance to bet some money to keep it interesting.  (La Quotes) The first few years in L.A. were really tough and scary, but I had to figure things out for myself.  (La Quotes) Sister Act’ was my first audition out of school. I was 21 and cast as the understudy. It was non-Equity, so I lived in L.A. on $300 a week. I did that for a month and then came to New York to do a couple of gigs, including ‘Hair’ in the park, before going to London with ‘Sister Act,’ where I played the lead.  (La Quotes) I’m from L.A., so I’m used to seeing people in sunglasses and flip-flops. There’s something so romantic about a man in a scarf and a knitted hat.  (La Quotes) When I tour, it’s like, well, like a food tour as much as a comedy tour. I try to eat at all the weird places, the obscure barbecue joints, burger places. There are a few spots in L.A. that I’m obsessed with - one of them is the Taco Zone taco truck on Alvarado. There are secret off-menu items that are amazing.  (La Quotes) I grew up half the time in a small town called Mart, Texas, and half the time in L.A., because I was acting.
