I read English Literature.  (English Quotes) My brother and I were both good at science, and we were both good at English literature. Either one of us could have gone either way.  (English Quotes) I never intended to be a historian of religion. I read L’Etranger and the rhythm of the novel felt familiar to me - very African.  (English Quotes) I loved English literature - if didn’t it would have been hard - but I had to learn it myself. I remembered ways to repeat words, to put more emphasis on certain lines.  (English Quotes) I often think that eventually I’d love to do some papers... my correspondence if life calms down a bit, but I think I’d do history or English literature... I’ve had enough of journos.  (English Quotes) The cliché is dead poetry. English, being the language of an imaginative race, abounds in clichés, so that English literature is always in danger of being poisoned by its own secretions.  (English Quotes) I love England and I love English culture, particularly English pop culture  (English Quotes) Shakespeare I love, but for an English graduate, I’m incredibly badly read  (English Quotes) When I’m studying English I love to watch ‘Friends’ or ‘Nikita.’  (English Quotes) I wouldn’t say no to being in a film with Jude Law. And I’m quite like that sometimes.  (English Quotes) I love John Ashbery. He’s the - really the poet laureate of English language poetry, whether he’s given that or not, he is to me.  (English Quotes) I love Jet Li, but he looks very Chinese, and his English is Chinese-accented. He wouldn’t have been the right guy to play a Japanese-American.  (English Quotes) I do tend to be an analyzer.
