Text Quotes
My philosophy is that I am a friend of the children. I don’t think anyone should see them as pitiable subjects or charity. That is old people’s rhetoric. People often relate childish behaviour to stupidity or foolishness. This mindset needs to change. I want to level the playing field where I can learn from the children. Something I can learn from children is transparency. They are innocent, straightforward, and have no biases. I relate children to simplicity and I think that my friendship with children has a much deeper meaning than others  (Childish Quotes) I could not clearly distinguish what was passing in my head; it seemed to me that I was under the influence of a horrible dream and that I had but to awake to find myself cured; at times it seemed that my entire life had been a dream, ridiculous and childish, the falseness of which had just been disclosed  (Childish Quotes) Having no human companion I felt a spirit of comradeship for the objects of nature around me. In my childish way I communed with these as with my own soul; they became the sharers of my confidence  (Childish Quotes) All the inventions and devices ever constructed by the human hand or conceived by the human mind, no matter how delicate, how intricate and complicated, are simple, childish toys compared with that most marvelously wrought mechanism, the human body. Its parts are far more delicate, and their mutual adjustments infinitely more accurate, than are those of the most perfect chronometer ever made  (Childish Quotes) I do have a childlike enthusiasm at times. I certainly enjoy life and get pleasure sometimes in childish things  (Childish Quotes) A lot of people who start work at a very young age never grow up because they never got that opportunity to be a child, so they hold on to that and still do a lot of childish, silly things  (Childish Quotes) I have a hard time waking up. No alarm clock works! It sounds childish, but I seriously have my manager, my mom or a buddy of mine wake me up if I have to be somewhere. It`s a serious issue! I`ve been very late for some serious gigs because of it!  (Childish Quotes) I think I still keep my sense of wonder, which I call childlike, not childish, childlike. I still have a vivid imagination, and I like to try a lot of new things  (Childish Quotes) The world, the future, is now within you as your past, as experience, skill in technique, and the rich, everlasting mystery is found to be childish you that, at the time, you made no effort to possess  (Childish Quotes) One must have a thorough knowledge of anatomy and a good perception of depth for silhouette work. Otherwise they resemble those childish picture cards, snipped out by some fool who doesn’t know what he is trying to do  (Childish Quotes) It’s probably a form of childish curiosity that keeps me going as a fiction writer. I... want to open everybody’s bureau drawers and see what they keep in there. I’m nosy  (Childish Quotes) What you take to be hyprocrisy is sometimes a certain caution, sometimes genuine, though ponderous, childish, sometimes a mixture of both  (Childish Quotes) If it seems a childish thing to do, do it in remembrance that you are a child  (Childish Quotes) These words dropped into my childish mind as if you should accidentally drop a ring into a deep well. I did not think of them much at the time, but there came a day in my life when the ring was fished up out of the well, good as new  (Childish Quotes) To be angry about trifles is mean and childish; to rage and be furious is brutish; and to maintain perpetual wrath is akin to the practice and temper of devils; but to prevent and suppress rising resentment is wise and glorious, is manly and divine  (Childish Quotes) People say graffiti is ugly, irresponsible and childish... but that’s only if it’s done properly  (Childish Quotes) Don’t you understand that we need to be childish in order to understand? Only a child sees things with perfect clarity, because it hasn’t developed all those filters which prevent us from seeing things that we don’t expect to see  (Childish Quotes) Our apparitions, the things you know us by, are simply childish. Beneath it is all dark, it is all spreading, it is unfathomably deep; but now and again we rise to the surface and that is what you see us by  (Childish Quotes) For I too liked reading, thought of a frivolous and childish kind; I could not digest or comprehend the serious or substantial  (Childish Quotes) It was childish to feel disappointed, but childishness comes almost as naturally to a man as to a child  (Childish Quotes) It was juvenile, he knew, this need to assign blame, but everyone had a right to childish emotions from time to time, didn’t they?  (Childish Quotes) Why talk about what we want? That is childish. Absurd. Of course, you are interested in what you want. You are eternally interested in it. But no one else is. The rest of us are just like you: we are interested in what we want  (Childish Quotes) Childish fantasy, like the sheath over the bud, not only protects but curbs the terrible budding spirit, protects not only innocence from the world, but the world from the power of innocence  (Childish Quotes) It is childish to rest in the discovery of mere coincidences, or of partial and extraneous laws  (Childish Quotes) Life calls us forth to independence, and anyone who does not heed this call because of childish laziness or timidity is threatened with neurosis. And once this has broken out, it becomes an increasingly valid reason for running away from life  (Childish Quotes) Anna was saying to herself: why do I always have this awful need to make other people see things as I do? It’s childish, why should they? What it amounts to is that I’m scared of being alone in what I feel  (Childish Quotes) I cannot exaggerate the effect of this marvelous sight on my childish imagination. Eighty years have gone by since and I still ask the same question, unable to answer it  (Childish Quotes) The masses are the real heroes, while we ourselves are often childish and ignorant, and without this understanding, it is impossible to acquire even the most rudimentary knowledge  (Childish Quotes) I don’t like that sort of school... where the bright childish imagination is utterly discouraged... where I have never seen among the pupils, whether boys or girls, anything but little parrots and small calculating machines  (Childish Quotes) We must not feel a childish disgust at the investigations of the meaner animals. For there is something marvelous in all natural things  (Childish Quotes)
