I enjoy racing historic motorcars from the 50s and 60s. The seed of my interest was planted when I was about 12 years old and took over my mother’s Morris Minor. I drove it around my father’s farm. But my favorite car is still a McLaren F1, which I have had for 10 years  (My Old Car Quotes) What I enjoy doing more than anything is, I have my little antique car collection, and when the weather is pretty I like to get out one of my old cars. I have a little route I run down in the country, down Nachez Trace Parkway. The loop down through there is just really relaxing, not much traffic  (My Old Car Quotes) From a very young age, music was very much in my house. I would sit with my mom, with the old LPs, listening to The Beatles and Carly Simon and Lionel Richie. The old LPs used to have the lyrics. From there, I would put on dance and music displays for my family, just to entertain them and make people laugh and smile  (My Old Car Quotes) My grandmother was probably the first person who I thought was beautiful. She was incredibly stylish, she had big hair, big cars. I was probably 3 years old, but she was like a cartoon character.  (My Old Car Quotes) My dad was pretty old school. I’ve had a job since I can remember, and it’s not like he was like, ‘Hey, what kind of car do you want?’ My first car was a 91 Ford Crown Victoria that was $1,000. And I had to buy every car after that. I had to do it all.  (My Old Car Quotes) I’ve been car crazy my whole life, since I was nine years old. It’s just something I’m very aware of.  (My Old Car Quotes) I put a new engine in my car, but forgot to take the old one out. Now my car goes 500 miles per hour. The harmonica sounds amazing  (My Old Car Quotes) Of course, I’m older now. I’m in a different place in my life than when I wrote the songs for ‘Car Wheels’ or ‘Essence’ or whatever. Different things were going on.  (My Old Car Quotes) When I was 7, an old lady was driving too fast in my neighborhood and hit me with her car. I was running out of the house, and when I got halfway into the street, my mom saw the car and yelled for me to run back. As I turned around the car hit me, dragged me five houses down the road, and I fractured my collarbone.  (My Old Car Quotes) Great Powers of falling wave and wind and windy fire, With your harmonious choir Encircle her I love and sing her into peace, That my old care may cease....  (My Old Car Quotes) My dad was old school Jewish. Not do your taxes Jewish - steal your car Jewish  (My Old Car Quotes) I am endlessly busy, bringing up five young kids, and trying to keep up with the three older ones. I still spend most of my life driving car pools  (My Old Car Quotes) My mother was determined to make us independent. When I was four years old, she stopped the car a few miles from our house and made me find my own way home across the fields. I got hopelessly lost  (My Old Car Quotes) I think I’m pretty smart on what I spend my money on. I still don’t have a new car, I drive my old car that I’ve had forever. But I bought a house in downtown Chicago  (My Old Car Quotes)
