I’m leery of people trying to paint a picture in a certain way.  (Design Thinking Quotes) I had given a presentation on design and happiness for quite a long while at design conferences. I had found thinking about the topic helpful for my own practice, as it forced me to consider the fundamentals, and the feedback from the audience was always enthusiastic.  (Design Thinking Quotes) It’s a Japanese way of thinking, that I give value for my merchandise. So I don’t want to sell unnecessarily expensive dresses and make just 10 or 20 and then feel satisfied. I want to design for real women who can afford my dresses.  (Design Thinking Quotes) I try to absorb all types of style and design. I don’t try and restrict my thinking. I enjoy the old and the new. You need that broad perspective to create something different.  (Design Thinking Quotes) We do not make very full value of the opportunities provided by technology because we prefer critical to constructive thinking, argument to design.  (Design Thinking Quotes) The emphasis and value on ideas and original thinking is an innate part of British culture, and in many ways, that describes the traditions of design.  (Design Thinking Quotes) A richer present I design, A finished form, of work divine, Surpassing all the power of art; A thinking head, a grateful heart.  (Design Thinking Quotes) The main tenet of design thinking is empathy for the people you’re trying to design for. Leadership is exactly the same thing - building empathy for the people that you’re entrusted to help  (Design Thinking Quotes) With couture, you feel obligated to design something modern each season, but with Theyskens Theory, I don’t question anything. I’m thinking of what I’d like to wear  (Design Thinking Quotes) I’m constantly thinking about design, shapes, patterns and colors, so I just want to be more of a blank canvas. But there is a comfort in knowing what you’re going to wear, and that probably comes from Catholic school, where I wore a uniform for 10 years  (Design Thinking Quotes) Good design is clear thinking made visible, bad design is stupidity made visible  (Design Thinking Quotes) For much of its existence, design was all about convenience. We wanted to hide technology so that users are not distracted into thinking about the tools they use  (Design Thinking Quotes) With everything that I design, from a church to a plate to skyscraper to a spoon. I am always thinking about voluptuous volumes and spaces  (Design Thinking Quotes) In the broad sense design means thinking about what the function or purpose of things or processes are, and translating that into action  (Design Thinking Quotes) Complacency with our traditional judgement based thinking methods is not enough. Our existing thinking habits are excellent just as the rear wheel of a motor car is excellent but not enough. We need to put far more emphasis on creative and design thinking. Judgement and analysis are not enough  (Design Thinking Quotes)
