Death, like birth, is a secret of nature

Marcus Aurelius, the Roman Emperor and Stoic philosopher, believed in the interconnectedness of all things in nature. He saw death as a natural part of life, just as birth is. In his meditations, he often reflected on the impermanence of life and the inevitability of death.
